Blow Dry in Chiang Mai
A blow dry is drying hair into shape with a hairdryer. With us it comes with a wash, so both happen in one visit. Together they take half an hour to an hour.

The wash and the blow dry
For the wash we mainly use Pantene shampoo and conditioner. A short, gentle head massage is part of every wash.
Before we dry your hair, a heat protection spray goes in, every time. If your hair is very dry, we add a serum as well.
We do a straight blow dry and a volume blow dry. Hair that is already straight we dry until it is fairly damp, then style. Curly, frizzy, fine hair we style from wet.

After your blow dry: water loosens it
When hair takes up water, it softens, lets go of the shape it was dried into and goes back towards its natural shape. Showers, sweat, rain and humid air all put water into hair, and the more humid the air, the more a blow dry loosens.
Pat sweat away early
Sweat collects at the hairline and the back of the neck. A clean cloth pressed there soaks it up before more of it gets into your hair.
Shower lukewarm, with a cap
A cap keeps the shower spray off, and steam is humid air, so it loosens a blow dry too. Lukewarm water and an open door or window make less steam.
Frizz, what helps against it and the months when Chiang Mai is most humid are in frizzy hair in humidity. More on keeping a blow dry is in how to make a blowout last.
